MISSION
The mission of the Biological Psychiatry Laboratory is to provide accurate and timely analytical and pharmacological services and collaboration with investigators in the mental health and addiction science research areas.

CLINICAL
Within the Biological Psychiatry Lab exists a clinical lab called the University Psychopharmacology Labs. UPL is accredited by the College of American Pathologists. This lab provides a test for heavy alcohol consumption called %CDT. This test is used to identify heavy alcohol consumption in a psychiatric patient population or to monitor drinking during treatment of alcoholics and is approved by the FDA for this use.
