    Fourth-Year Medical Student Selective

    Students: Senior medical students are required to take
    2-month rotations in any of the medical specialties, including psychiatry. These rotations differ from the regular senior electives in that they are a requirement in the senior curriculum.

Description of Educational Program:

    The goal of the senior selectives in psychiatry is to help consolidate student psychiatric skills with patients. The ultimate goal is to have students utilize their clinical psychiatric skills in clinical practice. Students have the choice of rotating through an inpatient unit or an ambulatory care unit (Psychiatric Emergency Service.)
